Day-by-Day Itinerary
A short flight from Johannesburg lands at the Londolozi airstrip, where your ranger and tracker meet you. Varty Camp is the original family camp on the Sand River, centred on a great fig tree and a riverside deck. The afternoon drive introduces you to the resident leopards, which are known by name.
Morning and evening drives follow the leopard lineages that Londolozi has documented for more than forty years. Your guide shares the history of each cat and its territory. Between drives, visit the photographic studio to edit your images with the in-house team.
Spend the morning with the Londolozi team at a nearby village and learning centre, meeting the people who live alongside the reserve. Back at camp, relax at your chalet's plunge pool overlooking the river. The evening drive ends with a fireside dinner and stories from the Varty family's early years.
Build your last full day around what you love most: a long walking safari, a session in the photographic hide or an extended drive to follow a pride. The wellness centre offers massages using local botanicals. A farewell dinner is served by lantern light on the riverbank.
Enjoy one last sunrise drive along the Sand River, followed by breakfast, before your flight back to Johannesburg or on to Cape Town.
