After pick-up at your confirmed location in Johannesburg or Pretoria by your driver, proceed to Pilanesberg National Park a big 5 malaria-free game park. Here guests will spend 1 night at Manyane Resort or Pilanesberg Tented Adventures based on availability including dinner, bed, and breakfast two game drives. The park exists in a transition zone between the dryness of Kalahari and wet Lowveld vegetation. The wildlife, flora, and fauna live side by side with the rich transitional zone. The park includes Big 5, wild dog, roan, tsessebe, sable antelope, and over 300 bird species.

Itinerary:

Day 1: Depart Johannesburg

Pick up at your confirmed location around Johannesburg or Pretoria depart to Pilanesberg National Park. Upon arrival check-in at Manyane Resort or Pilanesberg Tented Adventures for one night on a dinner, bed, and breakfast including two game drives. Thereafter proceed on a 3-hour afternoon game drive traversing the national park encountering the wildlife around their natural habitat. As the drive begins, you may already spot an abundance of wildlife along the way, such as rhino, elephant, giraffe, antelopes, and zebra. Keep your cameras ready for the elusive leopard who may be hiding in a tree or the roaring lion seeking out its prey in the bush. Return to the camp for dinner around the boma fire. Overnight.

Day 2: Pilanesberg National Park

After breakfast, depart on a safari drive at 09:30 am. We will traverse over 12,000 hectares of the big-5 game country, with lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo as well as other species such as wild dogs, cheetah, kudu, zebra, warthog, giraffe, and monkey namely. Bird viewing is spectacular, with over 360 recorded species including various eagles, vultures, kingfishers, woodpeckers, buzzards, herons, egrets, owls, weavers. Keep your cameras ready for the elusive leopard who may be hiding in a tree or the roaring lion seeking out its prey in the bush. Thereafter you will return to the lodge, check out and depart back to Johannesburg or Pretoria.
