Apartheid Museum and Gold Reef City Day Tour
Quick Info:
Intrigued by South African history? Be sure to embark on a journey to explore the Apartheid Museum and Gold Reef City tour combination. The Apartheid Museum aims to create a clear and conscious understanding of how the apartheid policy was adopted back in the 1940s until the time it came to an end in 1994; which led South Africa to become a Democratic country. In the years 1994 and 1996, the South African new government drew up a Constitution that entailed equality amongst all, Human Rights, and Freedom of Expression to name a few; this led South Africa to be labeled as one of the progressive countries in the world. Gold Reef City has since been themed “gold rush” because of the discovery of gold in 1886, this gold was discovered in the 1800s in Johannesburg. The buildings and style try to portray those moments where people around South Africa and the world at large rushed into Johannesburg. Gold Reef City is a world-class theme park and casino boasting various activities that cater to adults and children. You will go on a guided underground tour of the mine and then be introduced to the exciting side of this tour.
