Upon pick-up at your confirmed address in Cape Town between 07:30 am and 08:00 am. We will be in communication with you 24 hours prior to the tour.

Arrive at Victoria and Alfred Waterfront 30 minutes in advance before ferry departure set times (09:00am, 11:00am, 13:00pm & 15:00pm). Remember to carry a copy of your ID or passport, however, it could be a digital copy as your Robben Island ticket will be sent through digitally. Embark on the ferry at Nelson Mandela Gateway to the Island – the boat trip will be 30 minutes each way.

The experience is approximately 3 or 4 hours; upon arrival, the experience will be in two-part. The first part will be guided on the bus with a stop break of approximately 15 minutes for refreshments. The second leg of the tour will be the prison conducted by a former prisoner of Robben Island, the highlight of the tour is exploring the prison and Nelson Mandela cell. The guide will share the history of prison life and experiences. Upon your return to Victoria and Alfred Waterfront ensure that you have your ticket and ID or passport at hand. 

Upon return to V&A Waterfront, our representative will meet guests at the entrance of Nelson Mandela Gateway for a return transfer to the hotel.

who was on Robben Island in Table Bay prison for 27 years. The city

forcibly removed approximately 60 000 residents to other areas outskirts the “white”
city limits, and demolished the houses that were made up the bustling neighborhood.
Two blocks from District Six and CBD in 1990, Nelson Mandela made his first
public speech since being released from prison on Robben Island held from the balcony of Cape Town’s City Hall.<o:p></o:p>

office buildings and pedestrian malls, even though it is a major political and
economic center. Cape Town's reputation still remains on the beautiful situation
between the mountain and sea, cosmopolitan population, and the liberal outlook
