Game Lodge. Guests will be picked up from their location in Johannesburg
surroundings, we drive for approximately 2-hours to Pilanesberg National Park.
Upon arrival, check-in at Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge for 3 nights on a full board
basis. During your stay at the bush, the lodge enjoys 3 – hours of morning and
afternoon game drives. Game drives are conducted by the bush lodge experience
ranger guide, sharing their knowledge on the flora and fauna, and how to track the
wildlife. The park includes Big 5, wild dog, roan, tsessebe, sable antelope,
and over 300 bird species.

Located on the outer rim of an extinct volcano lies Kwa
Maritane, ‘Place of the Rock’. Overlooking a unique granite dome is Kwa
Maritane, Legacy’s oldest and most famous bush lodge, host to families,
businessmen, and delegates from all over the world. 

Itinerary:

Day 1: Depart Johannesburg 

Pick up at your hotel is confirmed 24hours before starting
time. After pick up, we will make our journey to Pilanesberg National Park. On
route, you will pass Lanseria Airport a privately owned international airport,
along the road approaching Lion Park and Lesedi Cultural Village enjoy the abundance
of mountains. We will pass through local townships of Northwest and the
Marikana Mine. Upon arrival in time for lunch, we enter Kwa Maritane Gate to
the game lodge. Arrive at Kwa Maritane Bush Lodge check-in for 3 nights on a
full board basis, after settling in enjoy lunch. Thereafter we depart for a
3-hour game drive. safari game drive in an open safari vehicle, conducted by
the park representative. As we enter the Pilanesberg National Park, you may
already spot an abundance of wildlife along the way, such as rhino, elephant,
giraffe, antelopes, and zebra. Keep your cameras ready for the elusive leopard
who may be hiding in a tree or the roaring lion seeking out its prey in the
bush. Return to the bush lodge for dinner, overnight for an early morning game
drive.

Day 2 & 3: Pilanesberg
National Park

Early morning wake-up call approximately 05:00 am during
summer and 05:30 am in winter seasons. Enjoy rusks, biscuits, coffee, and tea
before we depart for our drive. We will traverse over 12,000 hectares of the
big-5 game country, with lion, leopard, elephant, rhino, and buffalo as well as
other species such as wild dogs, cheetah, kudu, zebra, warthog, giraffe, and
monkey namely. Bird viewing is spectacular, with over 360 recorded species
including various eagles, vultures, kingfishers, woodpeckers, buzzards, herons,
egrets, owls, weavers. Keep your cameras ready for the elusive leopard who may
be hiding in a tree or the roaring lion seeking out its prey in the bush.
However, experience the wildlands on foot with a morning bush safari with a
professional tracker. Return to the lodge and we are welcomed with a warm towel
for our full breakfast. Enjoy the rest of the after at leisure, optional
activities in-house reptile demonstrations, bush golf, and Climbing walls.
After lunch, we depart for an afternoon game drive, thereafter return for
dinner. Overnight.

Day 4: Depart Pilanesberg
National Park
